Histria is the oldest citadel on Romania territory founded as Greek Colony on the coast of Black Sea in 630 BC that has flourished for 13 centuries. During the Roman period from the 1st to 3rd centuries AD, temples were built for the Roman gods. The bay nearby citadel has transformed into a lake during time, the Sinoe Lake.
Nowadays we can admire ruins of greek temples, paved streets, houses of inhabitants, thermae – public baths from the Roman period and in the center of city one of the biggest Christian basilicas from region since 6th century AD.
After this we enjoy a traditional lunch and local wines near Histria fortress.
